Understand
Every project starts with the problem.
What needs to happen? What isn't working? What is missing? What needs to be improved?
We look at the application before thinking about the part.

Ideas are easy. Making them work is an art.
Mechanical design, fabrication and custom solutions for vehicles, products and projects that don't fit the standard solution.
Some projects come with a part number. Others come with a problem.
Maybe the part doesn't exist. Maybe the factory solution isn't quite right. Maybe something needs to be adapted, strengthened, redesigned or built from scratch.
That's where MAKE.IT.WORK comes in.
We combine mechanical thinking with hands-on fabrication to turn ideas, problems and rough concepts into functional, durable solutions.
From a custom vehicle support to a replacement component, from a Westfalia accessory to a completely new product concept — we figure out what needs to happen, design the solution and make it real.
Design it. Build it. Make it work.

Every project is different. The approach is always the same. Understand. Design. Build.
How we work
Every project starts with the problem.
What needs to happen? What isn't working? What is missing? What needs to be improved?
We look at the application before thinking about the part.
This is where engineering meets creativity.
We explore the constraints, materials, dimensions, mounting points, movement, loads and real-world conditions.
Sometimes the answer is obvious. Sometimes it isn't. That's the interesting part.
Once the solution is understood, we turn the idea into something that can actually be built.
Concepts become dimensions, components, assemblies and prototypes.
The objective isn't to overcomplicate things. It's to design what works.
Then comes the hands-on part.
Fabrication, welding, assembly, modification and finishing bring the design into the real world.
A design isn't finished when it looks good on a screen. It's finished when it works.

About
MAKE.IT.WORK was created around a simple passion: understanding how things work, figuring out how they could work better, and building the solution when nothing already exists.
With a background in mechanical problem solving, fabrication, vehicle projects and hands-on development, the company brings together two sides of the same process: thinking and making.
The computer is useful. The workshop is useful. But the real value happens when the two meet.
We don't design in isolation. Solutions are developed with real-world use in mind.
No two projects are necessarily the same. We build around the application rather than forcing the application around an existing product.
You don't have to arrive with a finished drawing. A rough idea or a problem is enough to start the conversation.
Good-looking is nice. Good-looking and functional is better.
Fit, mounting, materials, accessibility, strength and usability can make the difference between something that works and something that works well.
Design it. Build it. Make it work.
